LDBSS Author Visit, February 28, 2024

This past Wednesday, I went for an author visit at the Lac du Bonnet Senior School, my former high school. The librarian had invited me in to speak with students who are just discovering fiction writing. They asked questions for nearly an hour and I answered them as honestly as I could.

Some days, it’s hard to be an author, but, by doing this, I was reminded how exciting it actually is to create stories and see them published.

So, thank you to librarian Jennifer Vandenbosch for being one of my biggest supporters. For getting excited when I announce the publication of another story. For being among the first to buy my books, and for promoting them far and wide.

The world needs more librarians to support local authors!

And to the six students who showed up, thank you for making me feel like I had something important to say. I am already hearing that you might want me to come back, so I guess I did a good job…
